Pep Guardiola was not his usual composed self after Manchester City’s victory against Tottenham Hotpsur, telling journalists he would not discuss his side’s performances with the media.
The Citizens were comfortable winners at Wembley, with goals from Gabriel Jesus, Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling helping Guardiola’s men to a 3-1 win.
Despite moving ever closer to winning the Premier League title, the former Barcelona boss not happy,.
He insisted the media were only interested in talking about results rather than performances in a terse outburst.
“No forget about performance,” he said after the game.
“You don’t judge performance, you judge results, not performance.
“For performance, I will speak with my players.
“The journalists just judge results, I am sorry I don’t talk about performance because you don’t care.”
City are currently 16 points ahead of rivals Manchester United at the top of the table, who play West Bromwich Albion at home on Sunday.
