Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants to say a proper farewell to his former Man United team-mates
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has invited his former Manchester United team-mates to a lavish LA party… just so they can say an emotional goodbye to him!
The legendary Swedish striker joined LA Galaxy last month and scored an absolute screamer on his debut against newly-formed local rivals LAFC.
But Zlatan did not get the chance to give his Old Trafford pals a proper farewell, with many of the Red Devils squad out on international duty when he was preparing for his move Stateside.
So the 36-year-old will give the United team a chance to bid him a proper goodbye when the Red Devils travel to the US for their pre-season tour this summer.
A source told The Sun: “The timing wasn’t the best but Zlatan insisted we would all get the chance to come and see him in LA, so we could tell him how much we are all going to miss him – which is just typical Zlatan.
“The staff at Carrington have heard he will sort a party out when the team travels to Los Angeles for pre-season training at the back end of July.
“Zlatan is footing the bill for about 50 staff in total.
“He always appreciated how United gave him a new deal when he was out with a knee injury for eight months. He’s a very generous guy.”
